2008 Virgin Islands Leadership Summit
The 2008 Virgin Islands Leadership Summit will take place this week Thursday and Friday (June 26th - 27th) at the National Press Club in Washington D.C.. This event is being organized by the V.I. Institute of Development, a non-profit, non-partisan think tank headquartered in DC that focuses on policy issues and trends affecting the USVI.
The goal of the Leadership Summit is to assemble USVI community stakeholders from around the world to create a policy agenda for the future. The theme of this year’s Summit is: “Agenda 2020: Promise or Peril?” and the items on the agenda include economic development, economic development, education & youth, governance, health, and science & technology for the future.
