More and more VIers are becoming part of the US political landscape as the VI Democrats are at the Democratic National Convention in Denver,  Senator Ottley will be the primary policy analyst for the Virgin Islands at the Department of Interior’s Office of Insular Affairs and Senate President Usie Richards has been honored by the National Black Caucus of State Legislators.  With all this interconnection between politics in the VI and the US, will we see more economic and social development of the territory?  Only time will tell. Meanwhile as Home Depot promotes a new executive vice president of U.S. Stores (including those in PR and the VI) we have yet to see the St. Croix Home Depot appear.  We heard it’s cause they’re short on building materials.
