MyMelee.com Conduct Policy
- The administrators keep an eye on the forums and blogs. They will delete threads/blogs and permanently ban posters who do not abide by this code of conduct. We reserve the right to delete and/or lock any post we feel does not adhere to this code of conduct.
- Bring a solid argument– No matter what your point of view‚ back up your arguments and offer facts to back up your opinions. For example‚ don't just post "Stupidness" or "Ignorant" or “Who cares?”
- No pointless name calling–If you have a personal problem with another member‚ or a moderator‚ please don't waste our time (or bandwidth) with it.
- Trolling will not be tolerated. A troll may be defined on a case by case basis‚ but can generally be defined as an individual with the intent of “riling” people up‚ disrupting the message boards/blogs‚ without posting anything of significance or substance to the board. Any member deemed to be a troll will have theirIP address blocked and will be banished from the site.
- Obscene language‚ and non–general audience content will not be tolerated in the forums/blogs. Posting of spam‚ profanity‚ or any other content not suitable for general audiences‚ is against the rules. If you post such content‚ your post will be edited or deleted. The content on these forums must be "safe for all audiences" and our moderators reserve the right to decide whether any posted material falls within our own decency guidelines or is deemed for an adult (18+) audience. Repeated offenses will subject you to a ban from the site.
- “Bashing” message boards‚ blogs‚ administrators or moderators‚ will not be tolerated. Any posts that resort to bashing will be removed or edited.
- If you are posting a print or news story‚ be sure to add a link‚ so that the story can be verified and so that we can "credit" and "hit" the page where it comes from. It is our way of expressing courtesy and saying "thanks" to the site with the posted info.
- Please be mindful that if you add a new topic on a subject that is currently being discussed elsewhere‚ or has already been posted‚ a moderator will "lock" your thread and point you to the post which already exists.
- Free Speech – Please remember that this is a private website‚ and is not covered by the First Amendment to the Bill of Rights: Freedom of Speech. You will find that you will be given a great deal of latitude to post what you wish in these blogs/forums. However‚ any posts that are deemed to be in violation of these codes of conduct‚ offensive‚ or‚ in poor taste‚ will be edited or removed. You are certainly welcome to promote your agenda within the framework of discussion and information related to our topics.
- Spamming and advertising are not allowed. Additionally‚ the practice of posting links to other websites through your signature at the bottom of posts‚ is not allowed. "Pimping" of other sites or forums is not allowed on our forums and anyone who engages in any of these practices will be subject to an immediate ban.
